Re-Elect Casey Salisbury ~ Mason County Sheriff

I ask for your vote in my bid for re-election to a second term as your Mason County Sheriff. During my first term as Sheriff, your Mason County Sheriff's Office has risen up to the challenges of local and regional public safety concerns. Our Office is now a highly regarded regional partner among law enforcement agencies in the region. I am continuing to make "Public Safety " my highest operational priority for the next four years. Currently I have the privilege to serve as

Vice President Wasington State Sheriff's Association
Board of Directors for Strategies for Youth
Member of Fight Crime Invest in Kids for Washington
Member and highly involved in the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs.

New Programs and Enhanced Existing Programs

Chaplain Program with four Chaplains who assist deputies and citizens with spiritual needs during time of crisis.
Traffic Unit of five deputies and one sergeant to investigate collisions and enforce the traffic code on county roads.
Expanded the capabilities of the SWAT team by cooperating with Shelton Police and Squaxin Police to form a multi-agency SWAT team.
Special Operations Group which is a multi-agency local task force responsible for drug enforcement and high priority arrests and investigations.
Addition of K-9 Narcotics and Tracking dogs.
Rebuilt the Search and Rescue Program to a viable self sustaining group who can perform search and rescue in Mason County and throughout the State.
Established a finance section in the department. Procedures have been improved so that income and expenses are tracked in a more efficient and timely fashion to give our citizens the best public safety value for their tax dollar.
